Equality and Diversity is one of the BSA’s core objectives and better addressing this within our Association is an agreed strategic priority over the coming years. To support this, the Board of Trustees have established a new Equality and Diversity Sub-Committee to embed the development and implementation of E&D into the fabric of our Association. The committee is comprised of Stevi Jackson, Nasar Meer, Janice McLaughlin, Henrietta O’Connor and Aaron Winter, and is supported by Judith Mudd.  As the first step in a series of proposed activities we want to build a data-set of our current members’ demographic characteristics. To this end shortly all members will receive a direct email from the BSA with a request to complete a questionnaire. The questionnaire will be completely anonymous. The committee encourages all members to take part in this important piece of work. It will provide a snap shot of our Association’s composition from which we can draw comparisons in the future. Please watch out for the email in your inbox – it will have the subject header ‘BSA demographic questionnaire’.
