Welcome to the web pages of the Heads and Professors of Sociology (HaPS). We are a supportive network of Heads of Department and Professors of Sociology whose chief aim is to work towards the promotion of the discipline of sociology within universities and higher education institutions more generally. We aim to work closely with the British Sociological Association to help promote the role of sociology as an academic discipline and its role in the wider society.
