The BSA is seeking new trustees as it has vacancies for people who would be interested in taking up a role in publications, membership services or as Treasurer. Please indicate on your nomination where your preference and experience lies. Trustees are expected to attend six board meetings a year and three Advisory Panel meetings where representatives from each constituency within the BSA are present. Trustees focus on three main areas of business - governance, publications and membership services - and all trustees are expected to be active in one of these areas.
Applicants need to be a fully paid-up member of the BSA and need to be proposed by any other fully paid-up member of the BSA.
Nominees should complete a form, which is available from www.uk-engage.org/britsoc where job descriptions are also available. Forms should be submitted to britsoc@uk-engage.org by 16 March 2017.
If elected, you will become a trustee of the Association as well as a company director. Trustee training is provided but applicants are advised to read the available guidance before applying. The following may be useful:
