Administrative Data Research (ADR) England Workshop
A BSA Early Career Forum Event
22 October 2025 (13.00-14.30)
Online
About the Event
The Administrative Data Research (ADR) initiative was created by UK governments to facilitate knowledge production and exchange between the public and higher education sectors. Approved researchers can access administrative datasets that are not publicly available and produce timely research on social problems affecting the UK.
ADR UK bridges the gap between academia and government by giving researchers an avenue to influence policymakers. Each UK nation has an ADR affiliate that produce research relevant to that country. This workshop will be one of four to connect Early Career Forum members with the ADR in each of the 4 UK nations.
Lola Brookes, Senior Science Manager of ADR UK, will host an introductory session, joined by 2 ADR Fellows for this 90 minute webinar which will:
- Give an overview of ADR England.
- Showcase their researcher’s current projects.
- Discuss existing knowledge gaps that ADR affiliates want to fill.
- Identify key stakeholders that ECF can contact.
- Advise on upcoming ADR grant competitions.
