We’re delighted to announce that a call for the next BSA President serving from 2018 to 2020 has attracted an unprecedented number of nominations and the call for nominations doesn’t close until midnight tonight! There is still time to get your nomination in.

It will be challenging for the trustees to decide who can best represent the BSA from a list of very strong candidates.  Look out for the announcement to be made in the October news bulletin, to learn who will be taking on this honorary position for the next three years.

Current BSA President Lynn Jamieson completes her term of office in December 2017. During her term in office in addition to acting as the public figurehead of the association Lynn has been proactive in supporting potential sociologists of the future with a series of well received annual  events for ‘A’ level students focussing on feminism .
