Could you be entitled to qualify for the Concessionary membership rate in 2017? Are you an ECR within three years of graduation, not in full-time, permanent work and registered on the BSA PhD list? If you answered yes to these questions then you can take advantage of the concessionary member rate for 2017.
We are still accepting more names for our list of graduates - if you were a graduate in 2014, 2015 or 2016, or your department's graduates are not listed, please email us with name, thesis title, supervisor name(s), name of university and convocation ceremony date (whether you attended or not). We will update our website periodically and would love to recognise your achievements. Please do not hesitate to get in touch so we can celebrate your success. Take a look at our current list.
Katherine Twamley, ECR, UCL said, "Being a member of the BSA is a great resource for Early Career Researchers. Not only does it allow you to network with other sociologists, both early and senior career but you also get to learn about fascinating and insightful topics and access the events at a reduced price. In addition to this it allows you to apply for BSA funds to organise your own event, or to attend a conference (BSA or otherwise) as well as publicise your accomplishments and learn about others’ via Network magazine."
