Events

The BSA is committed to providing a range of services for its membership including the really important constituency of postgraduate students. The BSA provides a wide range of events open to all including postgraduates - take a look at our forthcoming events.

Forthcoming Postgraduate Events

Coordinated and organised by postgrads for postgrads, these events express the diversity and dynamism of the postgraduate experience. Regional Postgraduate Day Events provide a variety of events throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and they are an annual series in the BSA calendar. The BSA Annual Conference has dedicated Postgraduate events and networking sessions.  Watch this space for details.

Past Postgraduate Events

  • Event Slides Available:  PhD to Published: Demystifying Publication for Postgraduate Researchers took place on 10 November 2023.  The workshop explored why we write for publication, our motivations and barriers, and the desire to show impact from our work. It also delved into the journal process – including open access – and discussed terminology, timescales, and traditions in academic writing.
