The BSA Applied Sociology Group

The BSA Applied Sociology Group represents and supports sociologists working beyond and  alongside academic institutions.  We reflect the fact that the overwhelming majority of sociology graduates do not work in university settings, and that sociologists are employed in a wide variety of posts, or may be self-employed or non-employed.

We are actively working to further the objectives of sociologists beyond the academy, and to reach out to sociology graduates in all walks of life, in the UK and internationally.
