Sociology of Rights Study Group
A group of BSA members have formed a new BSA Study Group to bring together people interested in promoting the sociological study of rights. The group will embrace a wide range of rights based perspectives including for example: theories of rights, indigenous peoples, women's rights, social movements, transnational organisations, security and surveillance, conflict and divided societies, migration and environmental rights. However, this list is not exhaustive and as the membership of the group grows, we would expect it to reflect the fields of interest of its members, whilst ensuring that it continues to focus on the core theme of human rights.
