About

The aim of the Ageing Study Group is to be a core forum for exchange of ideas and debate. There will be a number of one-day seminars and workshops which will explore different aspects of ageing. It is hoped that these will stimulate collaboration, research and publication. The interests of the group are broad and include theory, empirical research and practice at the intersections of various topics, for example:

  • Everyday life
  • Embodiment
  • Well-being & ill-being
  • Care
  • Death & dying
  • Intimacies, families, kin
  • Queer ageing
  • Racialised ageing
  • Gendered ageing
  • Stages & transitions
  • Methodologies
  • Technologies
  • Space & place
  • Time
  • Generations
  • Governance
  • Ageism
