Environment and Health Special Interest Group
Concerns about the interactions between environment and human health are increasing, with health professionals and policy makers, governments, international bodies, and sectors of the general public recognising the challenges posed by climate change and other environmental pressures.
The BSA Environment and Health special interest group was established in 2015 after a series of successful symposia at Medical Sociology conferences.
The Group continues to grow. In 2016 it ran a highly successful conference on Society, Environment and Human Health at the London School of Hygiene.
We are now accepting registrations for the 2nd BSA Conference on Environment and Health at the University of Cardiff on 27 October 2017. See ‘Events’ for details, or go to the BSA Events booking page.
We will meet as a group at the BSA Medical Sociology conference at York University: 13-15 September 2017.
