About the Event

The Sociology of the Arts Study Group invites PhD students working in the sociology of the arts and culture to join an online tea chat. This informal gathering offers participants a chance to connect with peers who share similar research interests and to stay updated on the Study Group’s upcoming activities.

The session will begin with short self-introductions, followed by an open discussion on topics that matter to us as PhD students - both intellectually and professionally. Participants are also encouraged to suggest ideas for future Study Group events, including possible themes and formats, so that PhD students’ voices are reflected in the event planning process. Early career researchers are also welcome to join the conversation.
